Settings
On this page
Settings is where you set up your church's details, connect your production software and outside services, and adjust how a booth computer behaves. The same Settings page is in the web app and in Tech Manager, with a few differences explained below.
Where to find it
Settings is the Settings row in the Admin group at the bottom of the sidebar. It works in the web app (at /app/settings) and in Tech Manager.
The page has a list of sections on the left and one open section on the right. Only one section shows at a time. Settings remembers the section you last opened on that computer or browser and opens there next time.
How the sections are grouped
The Settings list on the left is split into six groups:
- You — Account (your sign-in, your church's subscription, booth connection) and, on the web app only, Notifications (phone and browser alerts). See the settings-account and settings-system articles.
- Organization — Organization (church name, contact, time zone, public address, serve reminders, chord chart printing) and Data & Privacy (backup, sample data, clear all data, delete account). See settings-organization.
- Production — Production Switcher, OBS Studio and vMix: which switcher the booth drives and how to reach OBS or vMix. See settings-production.
- Integrations — Planning Center, YouTube and UniFi Network. See settings-integrations and guide-planning-center.
- System — Clips & Storage, Brand Kit, Fleet Enrollment, LAN Access, Encoding & Upload and Advanced. See settings-system.
- About — About (version and build) and Third-party licenses. See settings-system.
Find a setting quickly
- Go to Settings (bottom of the sidebar, under Admin).
- Click the Search box at the top of the section list.
- Type part of a section's name, for example "vMix" or "brand". The list shrinks to the sections whose names match. If nothing matches you see No matches.
- Click the section you want.
The search looks at section names only, not at the individual settings inside them. Clear the box to see every section again.
Open a section from a link (web app)
- /app/settings opens Settings on the section you last used.
- /app/brand-kit opens Settings straight on Brand Kit.
- Older links to your church's Organization page open Settings on Organization.
What is different in the web app and in Tech Manager
Most sections hold your church's own records, which live in the WorshipMetrics cloud, so they look and work the same in both apps: Organization, Data & Privacy, Planning Center, YouTube, Brand Kit, About and Third-party licenses.
The rest differ because they are about one booth computer:
- Production Switcher, OBS Studio, vMix, Clips & Storage and UniFi Network — in Tech Manager they change that computer directly. In the web app you first pick a booth in Booth machine. Your change saves to the cloud and the booth picks it up: right away when it is online ("Online — changes apply immediately"), or when it next reconnects ("Offline — changes apply when it reconnects"). Test buttons run on the booth, so they only work while it is online.
- Fleet Enrollment, LAN Access and Encoding & Upload — real controls in Tech Manager. In the web app these sections explain where to go instead.
- Advanced — switches in Tech Manager. The web app lists the same rows marked Booth PC only, because those choices are stored on the booth computer.
- Account — the web app shows your church, your subscription and booth enrollment codes. Tech Manager shows that computer's connection to WorshipMetrics.
- Notifications — web app only. Tech Manager's own pop-up notifications are switches under Advanced.
Troubleshooting
I changed a booth setting on the web but the booth did not change
The booth was probably offline. Under Booth machine the page says whether the booth is online. An offline booth applies saved changes when it reconnects. Check the computer on Pulse > System Health.
A section I expected is missing
Look at the Search box: leftover text hides sections that do not match. Clear it. Notifications is not in Tech Manager at all; use the notification switches under Advanced there.
My OBS, vMix or Clips & Storage change did not stick in Tech Manager
In Tech Manager those three sections save with the Save settings button at the bottom of the page. Production Switcher choices save as soon as you pick them.
Good to know
Most sections have their own save button, such as Save changes, Save Brand Kit or Save reminder settings, and nothing is saved until you press it. The sections that connect outside services (Planning Center, YouTube, UniFi Network) have their own connect and save buttons. Your own name and photo are not in Settings; change them from your name at the bottom of the sidebar (see settings-account).
