When you are scheduled to serve, you can open the plan itself: when it is, its times, the order of service with its notes, what you were asked to do, and who else is on your team. Every song in the order opens with its words and chords so you can practice.

Open a plan you serve on

  1. Go to People > My Schedule.
  2. On the plan's row, click Open plan.

The plan shows its date, its Times, You are serving (your team and position), the Order with each item's length and notes, and Your team: the names and positions of the others scheduled on your team. Someone who has not answered yet shows "(not answered yet)". No phone numbers or email addresses are shown.

A plan you declined, or one nobody has sent you yet, does not open.

Practice a song

  1. Open the plan and click a song in the Order (it shows Practice).
  2. The song opens in the key and arrangement the plan uses, for example "Key of A".
  3. Use the minus and plus buttons beside the key to move every chord down or up a half step. Click Back to the plan's key to return.
  4. Click Chords on to hide the chords and read only the words; click again to show them.
  5. If the song has more than one arrangement or key, pick another under Arrangement or Key.
  6. Under Files and links, play the reference audio right there, or click Open for a chord chart, a PDF or a link.

Changing the key here only changes what you see. It never changes the song or the plan for anyone else.

Good to know

  • The same songs are listed under Songs to practice on My Schedule.
  • Your church can let you open every song in its library, not only the ones on your plans. Ask someone at your church to turn on Can browse all songs on your entry in People (the Serving tab).
  • Works on a phone: the chart scrolls sideways when a line is wider than the screen, so chords stay over their words.
